I figured since I got no responses to my starter rebuild question that 
nobody's done this and I tore into it blindly....fun fun. Wow, amazing how 
much crud and dirt gets inside an "enclosed" case. My brushes were down to 
about 1/4"....compared to the new ones @ 3/4" I don't think two of them were 
even making contact. Had to get some silver solder and a torch and I'll get 
it back together tonite......fingers crossed.
$8 for new brushes and a few hours work vs. $160 for a rebuilt.
