Dirty intake boot!

Relatively new air filter (K&N) and brand new crankcase and IAS hoses...  Plus, I shined a light down there and you can barely make out the allen head screw with all the dirt that's on it.
Regardless of how it happened, I'm interested to know if it could have caused any damage to my engine?
