WAY OFF TOPIC

Any one remember that oil companies in TX were blowing the well caps to seal 
off the oil back in the 70's? We have a large reserve of oil, but are 
keeping it quiet.
How about the push to reduce gas consumption in cars? Latest look at the VW 
dealership, most just got about 23 to the gallon.
