Solid '78 FS in Rochester NY ($1000) - was Re: Black 79

Jim's going to post pics later today, but yes...    there
is a white '78 for sale in Rochester NY.

Details:
Body:
California car, overall solid.  There's no structural rust,
though there is a hole in the driver's footwell where it
looks like water had laid & rusted through.  There are a
couple of dents & some minor surface rust spots, but
overall the body isn't bad.  "S" spoiler present & in good
shape.

Interior:
GTI seats on Scirocco frames, "S" dash / trim.  Dash is
cracked but has a dash cover.  Aftermarket steering wheel. 
Overall not too bad.

Mods:
Unknown springs with Tokiko struts, Autotech cam, Autotech
swaybars (front right bracket broken), 1.8 8v with carbs
(!) and '87 GTI transmission.

Overall impression:
Car is a great place to start out with.  I would fix the
hole in the driver's footwell asap and a few niggling
issues but it could probably be daily driven without much
work.  The kid who's selling it knows that he really
*can't* afford to drive it through a Rochester winter (it's
never experienced one!) but will be forced to if nobody
buys it.

He's asking $1100 but is somewhat negotiable.  (He said
he'd take $900 last night)  I've got too many cars now but
would buy it otherwise.
