in need of heat

i know there was a thread about this like a week ago, but i didnt follow it well. i have the problem where there's nothing in my a/c system and when i cut on the blower for my heat the rpms kick up by like 1000. someone said something about removing the a/c fuse and relay......which ones might those be in an 87 16v?
