A buddy of mine once broke a cv shaft in the same spot...    was in MY
bone-stock '82 Sportruck  :(

Recipe for broken cv axle:

3500rpms
dump clutch

In other words, unless you're abusing the snot out of your car you shouldn't
be breaking cv shafts (at least that's my opinion)
