Frankly, I like when people leave the other replies in the email, unless it
gets too long. Perhaps leave just the message that you're replying to
rather than attaching the previous 40 messages in a topic. (Specially when
the topic gets side tracked). But, because this is not a proper Newsgroup,
messages don't get grouped together in "threads" so the original question
often is buried under a ton of email, or it is deleted. Keeping the
original message in a reply has allowed me more than once to have some clue
what people are talking about after I've done a bulk delete or helped me to
see who they are specifically replying to in a thread that I'm following.

Re: Scirocco-l digest, Vol 1 #279 - 182 msgs
hello, i'm a list-lurker that benefits from all the comments here, on
topic and off.
i'd like to request that when replying to a post, please DON'T include
the ENTIRE original message. as you can see, today's digest was 182
msgs. of those, i'd say 80% or more had the original post included in
the response.
i believe in keeping the signal to noise ratio to a minimum on lists,
and sorting thru the clutter is becoming like work.
thx for listening.
