[Re: [Re: How to have longer lasting motor mounts.]]

No no no, poor wording, you nailed me, I deserve it. Of course it was a f=
ront
mount (a nice TT high density one at that) that was on the front, An
interesting concept though, putting a rear one on the front...(somehow th=
ink
it would take soime modifying...) Yep, poor sentence structure, I should =
know
better. =

So to CLARIFY, A good new front one (on the front) plus a bad evil torn s=
pongy
old rear one (on the back) results in huge tears in the nice new front on=
e,
and in very short order. =

Next time use a front mount on the front.....:)

I'll add a data point. Replacing the front mount with a known bad rear mo=
unt
will rip the front one up in short order. Mine lasted a week,no doubt
terminated by some of Denny's drag launches. The new one has lasted so fa=
r,
with all four being replaced around the same time. (front and back are TT=

hard
rubber units) Cathy

waterfest last year (i did em behind the hotel, before everyone started
gathering on the strip). no vibration at all, even with the poly front.
also,
the rieger is a daily, so it gets decent miles put on it. i recently put =
a
vw
motorsports mount on the rear, made things a bit rough. i may go back to
stock
if it keeps making my rear view mirror vibrate.
as far as diesel mounts go, i dont think they are any different than the
stock
mounts anymore. didnt they all get combined into one mount part #?
