Hatch Latch issues

Go in through the interior and open it as Robbie Cotner suggested. There is
a rod between the push button and the latch. Make sure it is on and secured.
I don't remember what secures it but it must be there. Also the rod will
only work one way, do not turn it around unless you think the PO might have
done this. Try it "dry" a few times, close it on a screw driver like it was
closed on the car, then open it to make sure it works. This might save you a
bit of frustration.
