Well Anson.
Do you have any photos of you putting it together?
Do you remember if the valves looked approximately the same size?
(if so not big valve -- small valve)
did you do a valve Shim adjustment... that would mean you have mech
lifters?
there is another combinations.
38mm valves (not 40mm) and hydro lifters. but that would be a GX head.
