hot starting woes.........aaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh!!!

Whats up guys?  I have a 82 GTI.  I had been having fuel pump problems for a
months or so......it would make funny noises aometimes buzzing so load that
I would have to crack the system and sometimes I'd have to boot it to get it
to go...... and it finally died.....I think....
So I put in a new fuel pump a week ago and it started right up.  Fine and
dandy :p  Anyways now it decides that it work when I try to start it right
away after I turn it off.  It only does that when I have already run it.  I
try to start it cursing like a mofo and I give up.  I give it 2-3 min and it
starts right up.  WTF?  Was the other pump fine?  Did I waste 250 of my
student loan or is it just a coincidence?  Also I still have another problem
I can't figure out.  As soon as I give it full throttle hard it feels like
something lets go.  Hard to explain but it has less power.  When I bring it
back down to idle it farts and the motor shakes like a beeeatch.  If I let
it sit for a couple mins it usually starts up and runs fine again until I
decide to drive the bitch like it was made to be driven.  I can't help but
think that these two preoblems are somehow related.......\



Please help anyone................this is driving me nuts and oh ya my
marketing exam tomorrow could be helping with his felling of "I'm going to
snap!!!"
