Yeah, but have you priced Mk4 parts lately? At least you won't have to replace a window regulator once a year and an MAF sensor every 20k miles (common Mk4 prob's). And then there are the dead coilpacks, etc., etc. The first is a 328, which is nice, but I just like the 308's early 80's style for some reason. The second and third are an '82 and '81, neither of which would be a Quattrovalve, meaning 208hp instead of 240. Also, the '83's hood vent is just part of what makes these cars appealing, balancing the smooth curves with the straight lines of the vent. Still all nice cars. That's a good deal on the 328, but then who knows what the reserve is.Brian--- On Sat 11/23, Marc LECLERC < leclerc.marc@sympatico.ca > wrote:From: Marc LECLERC [mailto: leclerc.marc@sympatico.ca]To: haygood@myway.comDate: Sat, 23 Nov 2002 00:16:00 -0500Subject: RE: Italian RiceBetter deals yet:<><><>Bad news is that parts are obscenelly expensives...Cheers.Marc-----Message d'origine-----De : Brian Haygood [mailto:haygood@myway.com]Envoye : 23 novembre, 2002 00:01A : marc_scirocco@sympatico.ca; scirocco-l@scirocco.orgObjet : RE: Italian RiceOMG. I'm seriously (I mean it) about to cry. How could someone do that do a308? Macgarvey knows I have a thing for these cars. That's just a travesty.Still, even w/ 42k miles, for a car that clean, $35 is a good deal. Anybodywant to chip in with me and rescue this poor thing? Lol.Everyone should note the next to last picture showing the enginecompartment. In the lower right of the bay you can see the giant Cis-e fueldistributor. Kinda cracks me up every time I see that.3.0L 8-cylinder, 240hp, 32 valves weighs in at around 3kips.BH--- On Fri 11/22, =?iso-8859-1?Q?Marc_Scirocco_Qu=E9bec?= wrote:From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Marc_Scirocco_Qu=E9bec?= [mailto:marc_scirocco@sympatico.ca]To: scirocco-l@scirocco.orgDate: Fri, 22 Nov 2002 23:42:18 -0500Subject: Italian RiceWhat a shame...<>_______________________________________________Scirocco-lmailinglistScirocco-l@scirocco.orghttp://neubayern.net/mailman/listinfo/scirocco-lNo banners.
