problems getting LFS to work

When I open the game, I can only see "LIVE FOR SPE" on the screen and cannot exit from the PLayer ID screen (where you enter ID, License #, etc.). I assume I should be seing the whole title, correct?

Tried altering my display settings but got nowhere. I assume there's something in the cfg file that's causing this...

Any ideas?  Game looks sweet from the little I've seen...

GTG - the wife's looking at me sideways for ignoring her this evening!  ;)
