> Okay guys, what would you recommend to take the Black trim pieces off the doors and front and rear quarter panels of a rocco? It's pretty much just a double sided foam tape. Can I just use some "Goof Off", or does anyone else recommend something different.
Goo Gone doesn't work very well, or at least it didn't in my case. What I did is probably very dangerous, but I did it because I know I will be painting my car in the near future. It worked out good in the end anyway.
I used one of those small torches (the kind that are advertised as "weatherproof lighters") and put it directly on the adhesive for a SHORT period of time. I did this until it started smoking - I feared paint bubbling, but it didn't. Once it is nice and hot I used... a METAL scraper (danger Will Robinson!) to take it off. To tell the truth, there's only one spot any damage occured, and it was just a burn mark - no bubbles or scratches.
Now that I've scared you into trying Goo Gone first, good luck! ;)

I'll fix my car, even if I have to replace every part in it... and since the problem will be the last part I replace, I'll have a brand new car when I'm done!
