My last email (with added Scirocco content)

Nice pint of Bitter always does the trick - very filling
Scirocco content - no really there is
Oil all over the waterpump and belts and every where now. Still only down 1/4 litre but is it messy in there. Shut bonnet in disgust at mess. Pretty sure camshaft seal is giving up. Will investigate further when rain stops. Its wet here.
Debadged standard grille nearly completed. Have constructed one from 2 Gtx grilles (with busted lugs OK? ;-) ) so to have slats all the way across. Has taken best part of 5 weeks due to rain stopping me spraying the damn thing. Garage has no power, and is black hole where spares seats, 6 in fact live.
However is nearly done so my car wont look quite so pikey anymore with the gaping hole.
Have finally solved the anoying exhasut rattle by putting another clamp on and hitting it with the gum gum so it looks like a nest of some kind. Cannot wait for new exhaust. Only problem is that the hanger next to the shifter boot has broken again - must be the fifth time. So now using a Jubilee clip which means have a new rattle as exhaust butts up against the heatshield on the shifter.
Having fun the brakes as drivers side rear caliper locks first sometimes. This makes braking in a left hander to be avoided - doesnt it TMB?? Bled em but nope. Mk3 jobbies and they are not upside down or the wrong way round BTW
