Insane speed in german cars... slightly OT, had to share...

Robert, Robert....downhill? by the speedo? =20
That same car will reach maybe 200mph if you drop it out of a C-47 at =
altitude. That doesn't mean it has a top speed of 200mph.
I believe I am safe in saying that the Maxima has neither the power, nor =
the Cd to reach a true 145mph on its own. It does, however, have the =
weight. :)
In reality, that is (as Brian said) damn fast.=20
Things start happening very quickly above 125mph.....

I have not been following this topic but since we are talking about =
top
speed a 92 maxima se 5 spd can do 145MPH stock. This was down hill =
into a
flat staight and assuming the speedo was correct(no reason it =
shouldn't be).
This is same engine that is in 300z non turbo(roller rockers). I was =
in
passenger seat, scary with bad tires:)

painted dotted white lines were not solid.. trust me on this. you were =

going as fast as you thought.. assuming size of dot and space etc.. =

your personal refresh rate for your particular set of eyeballs..
