Insane speed in german cars... slightly OT, had to share...

the other day i was at the local dub dealer, and
they had a beauty of a W8 4motion passat wagon. 
IIRC, the speedo read 300km/h.  i'll have to go
back and check now to make sure...

oh, and if i'm not mistaken, there is a company
in germany called HGP that makes a twin turbo kit
for the mk4 24V VR6.  they've got a big video in
german somewhere that describes the mods involved
with their kit.  apparently, it is a VAG-approved
upgrade, if you can believe that.

on their site, they claim that they tested the
car to a maximum speed of 307km/h (191mph).  is
it true?  i dunno.  maybe if they GPS tested it
and set up speed cameras, etc, then that would
prove it.  until then, it's anybody's call.
