Insane speed in german cars... slightly OT, had to share...

I wouldn't think weight would have anything to do with it. To get a car
going that fast, it all has to do with how much power the engine can make.
At those speeds, the car has to overcome a tremendous amount of drag. In
fact, adding things to the car to make it more aerodynamic would be more
beneficial than removing weight. I would think the Viper is more aerodynamic
then the golf.

I wouldn't think weight would have anything to do with it. To get a car going that fast, it all has to do with how much power the engine can make.
