roc cruise control

My Type 1 (80 S) has cruise control that I always thought came from the
factory. It hasn't worked for a long time because the magnets on the axles
are gone as well as the pickup that "saw" the magnets. everything else is
still there. I think it also came with a suppement to the owners manual. I'd
like to know if parts can be had for repairs or if parts off another system
can be used and get the same result.
