Knock Sensor Q



Drew you are not wrong. The air cooled folks have had this available since
the 50's direct from Bosch, they were a Porsche part. I'm running one of
these limiters in the Box. There is a spring loaded set of breakers in the
rotor with a weight attached. When the preset RPM is reached centrifugal
force opens the contacts using up most of the spark energy before it can get
to the plugs. Quite effective and soft in it's application too. I'd guess
that they were never made for the water cooled gang as it was not needed.
