Carbon Tracks

I need a little advice, last night I pulled off my cap to check my rotor 
button, and there is a I good amount of carbon tracks on the cap and the 
button. They were both new when I rebuilt the engine a month ago, anyone 
know why this is happening? the coil, plugs and wire are also new. I think 
this is why my car is so diffucult to start most of the time (it will roll 
start everytime). Thanks in advance for you advice.
