Had my old 8V painted at Maaco a couple of years ago. With some body work
and a clear coat it was only about 1000. (not the best level they offered
but I only wanted the car to not have rust and look decent) I was very
happy with the results. Nice and shiny, good quality, a little overspray
here and there, but easy to clean up. Paint stayed soft for a long time,
leading to little nicks and scratches, but once hardened was very durable.
Still looked good as it slid sideways into that guardrail about 2 years
later....
As good as a real body shop? Hell no, but more than worth what I payed for
it.
