Will ABA crankcase still "breath" ok with block-off plateinstalled?

IIRC, the ABA does not have a breather on the valve cover, so it's not
really a second breather, more like breather relocation. Most people who
drop the ABA bottom end into an earlier 8v use the block off plate, and the
breather in the valve cover. Have heard no complaints. Definitely use the
black plastic cam shield.
Some say that the ABA needs more crankcase breathing than the 1.8, so when I
put the 2.0 into my 85, I spliced the ABA breaher into the breather from the
valve cover. I mounted the control pressure regulator on the side of the
head. Cheaper than the blockoff plate too.
