A/C conversion

i recently switched to 134, and did the most half-assed job imaginable; no
switching o-rings, no evacuation of system. i did put in a new drier. the
134 is no question not as cold as the r-12 (the way i did it, anyway), but
so far it's been adequate through several 90+ degree days. if you keep it
on full blast/recirc, it cools down enough in about 5 min. also, i had some
bent fins on my condensor (tried to straighten them, but...) and have an oil
cooler in front of it, which probably isn't helping either. if you do it
right, i'm sure it will be ok wherever you live.
