[OT] A new low for VW?

Very common thing for limited edition cars.. when the new M3 came 
out there were bids ranging from 2-10 thousand dollars just to get a 
spot to get a car.  ANd there were close to 20 or more of those type 
of auctions going on at the same time.  Same thing with the Boxster, 
and with 911 Turbos.  Also when the new M5 came out.  Part of this 
is bound to happen when people are putting deposits down on cars 
they have never driven before and are reserving sight unseen, and 
part is due to someone without the neccesary funds finding a way to 
make a few grand by being first in line. (Had a friend who pulled this 
off with an M3.. had no where near enough money to buy one, but 
went in and was allowed to put a $500 deposit down to reserve one 
of the first ones, then sold the spot on ebay for $4500).  Now people 
are doing it with the 337.  Same old story, just a new iteration of it...
