[tech]: hemmorhaging oil-->bad noise

Not likely 30 seconds, at idle, without oil will ruin a bearing UNLESS it
was near death anyway.  ( Son's  fresh motor idled three times for about 30
each with no oil pressure when first fired up....didn't know to prime the
oil pump...no harm done)

I'd drive it (carefully) until you are sure a bearing is gone.
Then....rebuild.
