MK1 brake line corossion

Thanks for the timely link. I almost destroyed my Mk1 today
when one my front left brake line blew....21 years old, though,
so I'm not sure it was a design flaw but a corrosion issue.
Doesn't hurt to ask, but I'm not holding my breath.
