[tech] ignition probs--please help!



Mike,
If you were in the main wiring diagram, this is probably not the right
info for your car if you have a knock sensor (check it out -- no knock
sensor anywhere in that diagram!).  There is a separate "Electronic
engine controls -- 16-valve engine" later on in the current flow
diagrams that does include the knock sensor system in it.  BTW, it shows
the hall sender _is_ connected to the knock box, not the ignition
control unit, just like you said.

Will 3-4 volts do it?  I don't think so.  Check the power at the knock
box, in and out, and you'll have your answer.
