ABA / JH question

A buddy of mine said that he's been putting ABA cranks, connecting rods =
and pistions into bored out JH blocks. Is this really possible? I'd =
much rather do this than mess with an exhaust amnifold that needs to be =
15mm higher. That and I have one of both engines on my garage floor =
right now.
