Lightened Flywheels
That's true, but that's not how you are supposed to downshift. You should
match the engine revs to your speed and then let out clutch. Doing
otherwise results in more clutch wear and jerkiness, which is never good.
Also, could theoretically hurt the springs in the clutch disk by putting too
much load on them.
