How fast is a 2.0L 16v Mk2?

It most definitely would be a good race, but I think the Scirocco, with its
large (almost 500lb) weight advantage, would win the 0-60 and probably also
the 1/4 mile run. Plug in the numbers, and you'll see that a stock 2.0
will knock off a full second on the 0-60, and about a second in the 1/4
mile... The stock 1.8 pulled the 1/4 in 16.1 @ 86mph.... and the 2.0
should break the 16 mark no problem.
In terms of power-to-weight, you have:
134 / 2380lb -> 17.76 lb/hp
and he has:
150hp / 2800lb -> 18.7 lb/hp.
However, if he has the 170 or 180hp 1.8T, you're going to be in trouble. :)
170 / 2800 -> 16.47 lb/hp
180 / 2800 -> 15.55 lb/hp
