i got the new rocc--but....

so i got my new scirocco this weekend:

also, there's supposedly a velocity lsd and a p&p'd head.
overall a nice car; there are a few finishing issues on the inside (door 
cards not quite right), a sticky clutch cable, high-speed wobble/pull (those 
aren't the wheels i got it with-stock g60's) and a nagging exhaust-leak 
sound at speed (though when in neutral and revving, i can't hear any leak). 
the big problem is that this car just isn't as fast as it should be with all 
these mods.  at first i thought it was just that i was used to driving the 
vr6, but when i ran a section of road here at home, there is no doubt that 
this is slower than my stock 2l/2l head combo. i'm having this sinking 
feeling that i got screwed, and i don't like it. now just from looking, i 
can see the oil cooler, tt exhaust, adj cam sprocket, and i can feel the 
velocity lsd. how can i check the engine to make sure that's really what's 
in there, short of taking the head off? i'm pretty pissed right now. i'm 
gonna check the timing and all tomorrow. ain't no way this thing ran a 15.2 
as it is now.
