My friend's 86 golf gti makes a loud click-click-click noise when
accelerating. As soon as you let off the gas or push in the clutch pedal it
stops. It seems to resonate from behind the pedals in the engine
compartment. I've had CV's go bad in my scirocco and it doesn't sound like
dead CV's. Any help is appreciated, TIA.
