Subaru?

Erik,

The VWs you have owned are NOT A4 chassis VWs like the new ones. Sorry
bud, I have one, and have owned 20 some odd older watercooled VWs, this
was my first new car (2000 VW Golf GL TDI), love the motor, car is a heavy
pig, only has 19k on it, is 2 years old and has been in to the dealer for
warranty work 6 times. VW does NOT build the cars you and I love
anymore..they have gone upscale, heavy and not as fun any more. You want
the OLD VW fun to drive spirit, in a NEW car? Drive a WRX. Untill you
drive both a new VW and a WRX, I don't think you have room to comment on
the worthyness of the Subaru.

No offence intended, I shared your exact feelings, till I bought this
Golf. I am sticking to older VWs from now on.
