HELP 2.0L old JH hydro head noisy lifters.

For noisy lifters, the best solution I've found is to use "Gunk Motor Flush"
You dump it in before an oil change, let the car idle for 5 minutes, then
change the oil like usual. Hasn't failed to cure noisy lifters in the 5
times (all different VW's) I've used it. No recurrance yet.

Are you sure that it's a hydro head? Most JH heads (if not all) were solid
liftered. The only contention is the later Cabriolets before the 2H motor
was put in.  

Either way, pull the valve cover and check how many cam bearings you have
4=hydro 5=solid.
