When I went to pick up (what was to become Al's 78 Champagne Edition)
Scirocco it would crank but not fire. I pushed it onto the local
backroad highway to highway tie in w/ the Rabbit GTI but the other
driver kept trying to pop the clutch to get it started. I was in third
gear and motoring along when he started to pull away from me.

By the time he got home (blowing every light and stop sign on the way)
we popped the hood and found the downpipe glowing bright cherry.
'Oooooooooh, wow' we all said.

Then we pulled the motor and plopped in a spare 1.7 I had laying around.
