[OT] My first paint job...yikes!

Mechanicals? It don't need no stinking mechanicals!
In all honesty, the car runs perfect with it's 120k 8v so I knew I had
plenty of time to get info pertaining to the engine transplant...or so I
thought. I've built 9 16v engines, but never installed one in a
"conversion" capacity. All have been replacements or bumps to 2.0ltr. I
posted to the list twice now on obtaining information about the
ELECTRICAL portion of the conversion from the '88's CIS to the CIS-E from
the car I'm parting out with little to no results.
I know a guy that has done some 8v to 16v cars, but I also know of two of
his that have burned. I may use him as a basic reference but ONLY if
abso-friggin-lutely necessary!
I'm not about to undertake this wiring without the knowledge up front.
(Eric + wires = electrical fires) So when I get the necessary
information from someone that has or has done the conversion...with
detailed pictures and comprehensive write up, I'll do the conversion and
make a page detailing it for others with step-by-step pics.
The reason I'm proud of the way this car came out is because this is my
first journey into real body work from start to finish. The smoothing
touches to the exterior were my ideas and I'm proud of the fact that this
traditionally feminine car looks tougher somehow.
Thanks for the feedback,
Eric
