tranny noise
The rattling/buzzing during idle is not a sign of SMS. You'll hear
true SMS when the car is moving, since that's when the parts that cause
the SMS (all in the diff area) get mashed into the case. It *may* be
an after-effect of a rivet head coming lose, though, which would mean
true SMS is imminent.
Frankly, I'd be looking at:
-throwout bearing
-the rod , which pushes on the plate
-the activation plate
-the bushing in the mainshaft
-the pressure plate itself
