(sorta ot) oil canning?

unusual holes drilled like that in the body may mean someone pulled a big
dent out of the sheetmetal.
  Those same type holes in the sill probably means someone had some sort of
trim installed there at one time.
As for the oil-canning, some areas just are not very 'self-supporting' and
can exhibit this type of behavior.
