how do you press the pass. motor mount in?

if they are in backwards, and you've gone some distance on them, you may want to put new ones in there. the 2 parts of the 'Y' are meant for compressive stress. being mounted/loaded upside down has probably tore the rubber (making your engine sit even lower).

the offset needs to be at what will be the bottom with the mount installed. best way to visualize is that the outer ring carries the engine weight, while the center pin is bolted to the chassis. when installed + loaded with the engine weight, the pin will move upwards and sit in the center of the mount (or the ring will move downward, whichever you prefer to picture).

hey all, I just received my new passenger side motor mount. I have the mount holder(the part you press it into) off of the engine, with the old mount still in it. How should I go about pressing it out and getting the new one in? Also, it DOES matter which way the new mount goes in, right, since the bolt hole is way off-center? Thanks-
