motor oil recommendations

Not true! If your lifters tap and the oil pressure drops with 10W-40, =
you got problems. you should check the oiling system ASAP. On my 16V , i =
use 5W-30 in the winter time, lubricates faster and it actually quitenes =
the lifters.summertime I use Rotella 15w-40 for diesels, 20W-50 is a =
little thick, i notice power loss. I used 10w40 in the past with no =
problems whatsever.
