And now the bad news...

After getting everybody's ears perked up about this Zender spoiler gig, I 
hear back from the company I gave the original to.  The manufacturer (in 
Mexico no less) says, "Sure, we can do that.  If you can guarantee ordering 
1000 units."

I was pissed.  He said that he had sent prototypes of the items he developed 
to them and they had no problem making a sample for much lower volumes that 
1000 units (more like 100).  I don't even think HE sells 1000 units of the 
stuff he produces...oh well, I tried and I was hopeful for a while...it was 
looking good.
