Daun, You Rock!
A big THANK YOU to Daun and his family for putting up with a bunch of rowdy,
beer swigging, old-car driving, dirty finger nailed, sunburned, sleep
deprived lunatics for yet ANOTHER year. For those of you who missed it, you
missed seeing the largest group of sciroccos ever gathered at one time in
the western hemisphere (afaik). 60 to be exact, all driven by the best
group of people in the world.
As for me, the ride home was quick if uneventful. Marc and Jeff pulled way
ahead of the rest of us, only to be passed after the long arm of the law
reached out and touched them. Slow and steady wins the race again ;)
There were cars in every stage of restoration and customization. Josh and
Scott Kraus come to mind as having the most improved rides since last year.
Unfortunately there were a lot of listers that either couldn't make it all
or couldn't bring their rocs. It was also great to see some more scirocco
women in attendance. Probably the best thing to see were some of the
younger enthusiasts there with their dads.
Jim Mikesh, thanks for the lights.
And a good time was had by all. Daun, you rock!
