heh, runoff?
what size exhaust are you running? what muffler?
bigger/less restrictive you get, the more runoff (over-run) you get.
unburnt fuel igniting on the way out of the chamber, IIRC.
all you people, talking about quieting your cars...ffs. im running a glaspack on a (freakishly huge) custom bent exhaust with no resonators and i LOVE it. slight droneing, but not a honda sound, thats for sure. bassy tone, at about 3400 rpm it gets pretty hairy, and the runoff from high rpms sounds so cool.
mind you, i go through gas like a madman...
Rhys,
Loud an' lovin' it

My problem has started up just as of recently. For starters, my engine
is a 1.8L JH w/ stock 8v solid lifter head. What's happening is when I
let off the gas/decelerate, I hear a random pop/backfire sound from the
exhaust and it bugs the hell out of me. I'm not sure if this would be
valve adjustment? I have good exhaust gaskets, new header, punched
through cat, ect.. Anyone have a resolution to my pain?
