how different is the muffler hanging configuration from A1 rabbit to A2 GTi?

I apologize for being too vague - I only wanted to know if a muffler (the
one at the end  ;) from an A2 Gti can be mounted on an A1 rabbit conv. w/ a
space-saver. I am not concerned about the cat-back connecting pipe portion
(not yet anyway...).
