I am not surprised at all. When I bought my 84 back in 86 my brother asked, 
"what the hell is that a Farrari?"

When I had my White 88 16v last year it looked modern next to even the 
newest Hondas.

This is exactly why when I complete the '85 it will remain badgeless just to 
keep them guessing as I pull away. It's gotta hurt gettin smoked by a 15 
Y.O. VW..
