Bryson,
In addition to the screws, VW uses a black adhesive to hold the kit onto the
body. Some kits can be just pulled off easily while others are just "on
there". I've used a putty knife to slowly, painstakingly pry it off, inch by
inch. I heard of others using a hair dryer on the metal to warm the adhesive
and make it a more pliable while prying. (on a day like today in SE Ohio,
you wouldn't need the hair dryer).
The key is to take your time, especially on the panels mounted to the door
bottoms since they have an aluminum backer which retain a memory.
Good luck!

I found a 16v Rocco in a junkyard, and I was wondering how you remove the
body kit. I got the screws out but I couldnt figure out how to remove the
rest of the kit without messing it up. I know there is a moulding glue or
tape or something behind the kit but I cant figure out exactly how to pull
it without trashing the kit. Thanks for any information you may have!
