Subject: Corrado seats into a MK1... ?
I first put my stock 16v seats into the mk1, but was unhappy how
they fit... sat up higher than the stock "S" seats. And the 16v
seats would rock back and forth a bit because of the front track
guide not fitting quite right... which is why I am after something
a little better fitting.
If all else fails I was even thinking about using the stock mk1 "S"
seat frames and seeing if the foam and cloth from a mk2 16v seat
could be swapped over. Looks like it could be done...
Well, thanks for any suggestions!

Don't know about the Corrado seats... Brett!!!
The Mk.2 front seat parts will fit the Mk.1 S seat frames, even the seat
backs, they snap right on. All you have to do is swap the pads and
material.
That's what I did on my Mk.1 Sciroccos, '84 gray Wolfsburg seats in the
'81-using '79 champagne seat brackets and welded on Rabbit rear rail
tabs for the sliders , and '87 16V black leather seats in the '79-on '81
S seat frames.
If you always keep the seat on the lowest setting, you might want to do
away with the height adjustment, since it adds a lot of weight.
I plan on doing away with the height adjustment brackets on the '79, and
I'll probably use Rabbit seat parts to make a fixed seat at the lowest
possible setting.
