actually it all depends on your offset of your wheel

example I have ATS Cups 15x7 et28 with 205/50 no rubbing
but then I have Konig Imagine 15x7 et40 and had to settle
with 195/50 because 205/50 rubbed on the strut.

its reallky your rims width and offset that make a
difference to the capabilities of your tire size.
