STRANDED PT2 (long & funny)

Thanks to all who responded.....We drove the 45 miles back to the car last 
night only for me to discover I had ASS-U-ME-D that wifey had a key to my 
car on her key set....NOT!!! Damn#1......Got a friend to drive in with the 
RIGHT keys, now it's getting dark. Damn #2....Pulled the cable off the 
clutch pedal and found it wasn't broke.....WTF? Damn#3....turns out the 
metal tube at the firewall that holds the sheath to the cable sheared off 
the firewall thus when I pushed the clutch in, all it did was take the slack 
out rather than pull the actual cable. Thank goodness the walmart was an all 
niter.....flashlight, munchies, things to substitute for actual car 
parts....NO BEER!  Damn #4  Anyhow, 3 hours..one roll of electrical tape and 
a hose clamp (use your imagination ok) later and we were on our way. Now to 
find a good welder.....:)
